Head of Corporate Services

Mr Paul Morris BSc (Hons) DM

A graduate of Loughborough University, Paul Morris joined Dyfed-Powys Police in August 2000 as a Researcher Analyst. He was subsequently appointed as the Force's first Strategy and Planning Officer in November of the same year, before succeeding Steve White as Head of Corporate Services in October 2002.

As Head of Corporate Services, Paul has overall responsibility for Performance and Business Improvement, Audit and Review, Strategy and Planning, Force Crime and Incident Registrars and Crime Recording Bureau.

Prior to his career with Dyfed-Powys Police, Paul spent 6 years as a journalist and three years as Benchmarking Officer with Pembrokeshire County Council. The latter appointment involved the running of the Local Government Benchmarking Reference Centre, providing benchmarking services advice and training to local authorities and other public sector organisations across the UK.

A married man with two children, Paul lives in Tenby. He has been heavily involved with community fundraising activities through Tenby Round Table and other interests include sport, amateur dramatics and music.
