Director of Finance and Resources

A qualified accountant, Mr Bevan started his career in local government before joining Welsh Water just prior to privatization of the industry.

Following a brief spell working in Swansea University, he joined the NHS in 1989 where he held two separate finance director roles including one with the West Wales Ambulance Service, where he also fulfilled the role of Deputy Chief Executive.

In 1998 Mr Bevan joined Coleg Gwent as Deputy Principal/Chief Executive, which at the time was experiencing a financial crisis, and he likes to feel that he contributed to the success of the College in becoming the largest in Wales and the third largest in the UK.

Mr Bevan is a fluent Welsh speaker and has lived in Carmarthenshire for most of his life.
