Divisional Commander for Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion

Chief Superintendent Dean Richards took up his current post as Police Commander for the County of Pembrokeshire in September 2007. He has 25 years police service most of which have been in operational uniform duties. He has served in Powys Division and Headquarters Departments such as Professional Standards. He has also served in Pembrokeshire on numerous occasions.

On his appointment he stated that he was really pleased to be returning to the County and honoured to be in a position to shape the future of policing in Pembrokeshire.

He is a native of Pembrokeshire, being born and educated in Haverfordwest, and will be looking to relocate his family to Pembrokeshire in the near future.
