What Happens When You Call
Your call will be taken by specialist officers. All calls and information are handled in the strictest of confidence.
Any information you provide will be analysed and researched before deciding which action, if any, will be taken.
What to Look For
Terrorists need somewhere to live and somewhere to keep equipment and materials. They need vehicles. They have people who help them, who may come and go at strange times of day and night. They may make unusual financial transactions, or use false documents. They may start behaving differently.
Some examples of suspicious activity include:
- Unusual activity at a property or strange comings and goings
- Taking photographs or making notes of security arrangements
- Using multiple mobile phones, swapping SIM cards and handsets, or someone with large quantities of mobile phones
- If you sell or lease cars, a suspicious recent purchase or rental
- Holding documents in different names for no obvious reason
- Buying a large quantity of chemicals for no obvious reason
- Discarded protective equipment such as goggles and masks
- Suspicious credit card transactions
- Visiting terrorist-related websites
- Being vague about their travel arrangements
- If you are suspicious of anyone renting a commercial property, or using a lock-up, garage or shed as storage
