What We Have Done

  • Drug abuse in Lampeter town
    A number of positive warrants have been conducted with prosecutions made.
  • Zero tolerance on Harford Square
    A tough stance on any offences in the area has been taken.  Patrols will continue.
  • Road traffic offences in Lampeter area
    The Roads Policing Unit have conducted a number of stops on cars and have dealt with any offences.

Who's Who

Inspector Nicola Carter

Collar Number: -

Inspector Nicola Carter was born and brought up in the west of Ceredigion. In 1990 she joined North Wales Police where she achieved promotion to Sergeant and later Inspector. In 2006 she applied to transfer to Dyfed Powys Police and was appointed as an Inspector in Aberystwyth. Inspector Nicola Carter was appointed as Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for the Lampeter / Aberaeron / New Quay area in May 2009.

Sergeant Alison Rees

Sergeant Alison Rees was born and brought up in Pembrokeshire. She joined Avon and Somerset Constabulary in 1986 and spent 8 years policing in Bristol before transferring "home" to Dyfed -Powys in 1994. On return to the area she was stationed at Cardigan Police Station, and has served there both as a PC and then Sergeant. In January 2007 she joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team, with responsibility for supervising the team in the Mid and South Ceredigion area.

PC Jo Grey

Collar Number: 366

PC Jo Grey joined the force in 2004 and is based in Lampeter Police Station. She served for two years as a town beat officer in Aberystwyth before transferring to Lampeter. She has helped to set up Neighbourhood Watch in an estate, encouraged the licencees to run and enforce a Pubwatch scheme, set up open surgeries and has been a point of contact for many members of the public. She has liased with many groups such as local councils, the student unions, Womens Institute,  Young At Heart, family centres and much more, and hopes to continue working with such groups in the future and progress issues that the public want tackled by their local police.

PCSO Ryan Jones

Collar Number: 8071

PCSO Ryan Jones joined as a PCSO in March 2007. He completed sixth form in QE High, Carmarthen in 2006 and worked in retail before joining the police. He enjoys working with members of the public and working closely with all communities in the area.

Attend neighbourhood policing meetings, report crime and anti-social behaviour, join in community activities and Neighbourhood Watch, and visit your local council for information on community safety schemes in your area.

Discuss community issues with your Neighbourhood Policing Team and have the chance to influence their priorities.

  • First Monday of the month at Lampeter Police Station 5 - 6pm
  • On the following dates 10.30am - 12pm at Lampeter Farmers Market:  17/7/09, 28/8/09, 25/9/09, 23/10/09, 20/11/09, 18/12/09

Mobile police station:

  • Cwrtnewydd / Gorsgoch area - first Wednesday of the month from 9.30 – 10.45am
  • Llanwnnen - first Wednesday of the month from 11am – 12 pm
  • Cellan / Llanfair Clydogau area - first Wednesday of the month from 1 – 1.45pm and 2 – 2.45pm
  • Llangybi - first Wednesday of the month from 3 – 4pm
  • Cribyn - first Thursday of the month from 9 – 10am
  • Felinfach - first Thursday of the month from 10.30am – 12.30pm
  • Dihewyd - first Thursday of the month from 3 – 4pm
