Local Priorities

Updated: 17/11/09

Llandysul Town:

  1. Maintain high visibility patrols and regular police presence

What We Have Done

Llandysul Town:

  • Parking - Llandysul
Patrols in area and the issue of parking notices highlighting parking in particular areas for motorists causing unnecessary obstruction have been issued.  Patrols with the Traffic warden have been made and parking tickets have been issued where valid due to lines and signs being of poor quality including outside of the school and parking in the bus stop area in the town, numerous visits to the school to speak with motorists who park outside of the school and advice given. Resurfacing in Llandysul is due hopefully autumn 2009 whereby lines and signs should be replaced.  Continued patrols will be made and enforcement made where appropriate
  • Speeding - Llandysul
Roads policing unit have been informed and numerous fixed penalty notices have been issued in the Llandysul / Penrhiwllan areas which were highlighted as being an issue.  The neighbourhood policing team has conducted Read Your Speed initiatives in these and other areas with motorists being spoken to regarding their speeds.
  • Anti-social behaviour on Youth Club Evenings / Bowls Club Area
The youth club has been closed during the school holidays but high visible patrols have been made during youth club nights as well as the rest of the week/ weekends.  No issues have been raised concerning the youth club or in connection the bowls club which had been subject to damage in the past said to be connected to youth club evenings. Patrols have been made and attendance since it reopening after the school holidays and to date no issues.  At the last PACT meeting held on 12/10/09 residents who attended stated they had seen a big improvements on these evenings and themselves not being aware of any problems for some months and wish to thank the members at the youth club the youths and the neighbourhood policing team.
