What We Have Done
- Llandissiliogogo / Llanarth: Complaints of speeding through the village
Site assessed by joint agencies and is possibly due to people’s perception of speed. The team have have engaged with the county councillor and Ceredigion Highways (Camera Safety Partnership). A ‘Read Your Speed’ (speed education exercise) is planned for the end of June. - Llansantffraed / Ciliau Aeron: Community engagement
The team attend the monthly coffee mornings / police surgeries at Llanon and recently applied for funding to assist the group, which was successful. The cheque will be presented to the group on Thursday 1st July.
Who's Who
Inspector Paul Bonning

Inspector Paul Bonning joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team in November 2009. He previously worked in the Metropolitan Police for nearly 12 years before joining Dyfed Powys Police in 1998. Since that time has been based at Pembroke Dock, Carmarthen and Aberystwyth Police Stations. Although originally from Pembroke Dock now lives with his family in the Lampeter area. He said, “The favourite aspects of my role are helping people and making a difference. I have noticed that Ceredigion has an excellent community spirit. With my extensive operational experience I am looking for ward to working closely with the local community to improve the quality of life and target the issues that are identified as mattering most to them”.
Sergeant Alison Rees

Sergeant Alison Rees was born and brought up in Pembrokeshire. She joined Avon and Somerset Constabulary in 1986 and spent 8 years policing in Bristol before transferring "home" to Dyfed -Powys in 1994. On return to the area she was stationed at Cardigan Police Station, and has served there both as a PC and then Sergeant. In January 2007 she joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team, with responsibility for supervising the team in the Mid and South Ceredigion area.
PC Gary Jenkins

PC Gary Jenkins joined the force in 1979 as a cadet and is a native of the Gwendraeth valley. He has previously worked at Aberystwyth and Cardigan and has been in Aberaeron for the last six years. He has worked as a community officer for most of his service.
PCSO Trish Smith
Collar Number: 8016
PCSO Trish Smith joined the New Quay and Aberaeron team in January 2007. Her aim is to work closely with my community with a view to address and resolve any community issues they may have. She spent many enjoyable years visiting Aberaeron and New Quay, and considers herself lucky that she now works there.
