03/10/11 - Traffic Calming measures are now planned for Babell Hill, which will help to reduce speeding in that location. Work has already begun at the bottom of the Hill and planning notices have been put up to inform the community of the future intentions for this area. It is believed that part of the calming measures will be speed humps in the Mount Pleasant and Babell Hill areas. Proactive targeting of this area is continuing with the Neighbourhood Policing Team carrying out ad-hoc operations with the hand held speed device.
03/02/11 - Areas in and around Llangunnor will continued to be monitored. The hand held speed device will be being used across the Ward. The Carmarthenshire County Council are also aiming to progress plans for the 40mph speed limit in Nantycaws village.

Parking outside Llangunnor School

Thursday, February 3, 2011Thu 20 Oct 2011N/A
03/10/11 - The one way system is now in place however we have recently received further complaints of vehicle parking in the Haul Fryn area of Tregynwr. This has increased congestion and concerns about vehicles being damaged from doors opening on to parked cars. Patrols have been conducted and this is being monitored. All parents taking their children to School by car are requested to take care when parking and alighting their vehicles. The Neighbourhood Policing team will be carrying out further partnership working with the school to attempt to address this issue.
03/02/11 - The traffic management proposals for the area are to go ahead, with a 20mph zone along Penymorfa Lane and the introduction of a new road safety scheme planned for the area. The school has also had a positive response from parents in respect of a Voluntary one way system, where parents that drive their children to school have been asked to drive along Penymorfa the same direction heading towards Babell Hill direction. This is hoped that the flow of traffic will be eased in the lane and that this will assist the area with parking issues during peak times.
