Your local neighbourhood policing team will provide regular high visible patrols particularly during the evenings and at weekends.

Parking outside Llangunnor School

Thursday, February 3, 2011Fri 18 May 2012
12/03/2012 -
A site visit was conducted at this location with Carmarthenshire County Council. The area in question is being monitored by the Highways Department with regards to traffic flow / congestion. Your local neighbourhood team will provide regular, high visibility patrols in the area whenever possible. Police ask motorists to be considerate and to appreciate the problems that local residents face during the morning and afternoon drop off / pick up times.
16/05/2012 - Parking outside Llangunnor School continues to be a problem. Patrols are being conducted during the mornings when parents are dropping their children off and during the afternoons when the children are being collected. Parents are being asked to take into consideration the residents in the area when parking the car.
The Neighbourhood Policing team will be carrying out further partnership working with the school to attempt to address this issue.
03/10/11 - The one way system is now in place however we have recently received further complaints of vehicle parking in the Haul Fryn area of Tregynwr. This has increased congestion and concerns about vehicles being damaged from doors opening on to parked cars. Patrols have been conducted and this is being monitored. All parents taking their children to School by car are requested to take care when parking and alighting their vehicles. The Neighbourhood Policing team will be carrying out further partnership working with the school to attempt to address this issue.
03/02/11 - The traffic management proposals for the area are to go ahead, with a 20mph zone along Penymorfa Lane and the introduction of a new road safety scheme planned for the area. The school has also had a positive response from parents in respect of a Voluntary one way system, where parents that drive their children to school have been asked to drive along Penymorfa the same direction heading towards Babell Hill direction. This is hoped that the flow of traffic will be eased in the lane and that this will assist the area with parking issues during peak times.
