Cynhaliwyd cyfarfod gyda’r Cynghorwyr lleol a rhai o breswylwyr Hen Heol.
Traffic Officers have been requested to visit location and issue tickets where any offences occur.
A meeting was held with the local Councillors and some of the Residents of Old Road.
08/02/2012 - Smiley S.I.D Device has been used at OLD ROAD by PCSO 8066 Rhian James, reminding the public of the speed on the road. Traffic Officers have been requested to visit location and issue tickets where any offences occur. Bridge on top of Old road has been raised as concern as the bridge has no pavements and concern for children and local residents using bridge. Sight visit to be arranged with John McEvoy at Old Road to discuss Bridge.

08/02/2012 - High visibility Patrols have been made to the Parks where we have linked in with Park Keeper of Parc Howard no concerns or issues have been raised over the last two months. Peoples Park Bandstand has been highlighted as youths are congregating in this area believed to be underage drinking. High visibility patrols have been made by officers and all Town Beat code Officers have been tasked with further requests to visit area in Police Vehicles, stop checks have been submitted. An idea by an NPT officer to fit a locked gate at the Bandstand to deter gatherings has been requested. Carmarthenshire County Council is looking at placing sensor lighting at location too.
High visibility Patrols have been made to the Parks where we have linked in with Kevin Williams Park Keeper of Parc Howard, 1 call received last month to state evidence of smashed glass bottles. NPT increased patrols in the area, no persons have been seen in the area and no further reports have been received from members of the public.
High visibility patrols have been made by officers and all Town Beat code Officers have been tasked with further requests to visit area in Police Vehicles.
To date there has been 7 persons stop checked at the rear of Selwyn Samuel Centre and Peoples Park and 4 Intel logs submitted. No offences have been identified to show under-age persons.
1 call for ASB in another part of the ward in relation to under-age drinking.
A total of 4 Intel logs have been submitted to identify ASB in other areas of the ward. NPT have also incorporated these areas in their patrols and so far there has been an improvement and we have seen a reduction in the calls received regarding this.
04/01/2012 - Elli/Lliedi NPT has carried out high visibility patrols at hot spot areas during the weekend period. There have been no stop checks submitted or alcohol seized.

5/3/12 - Aeth y Tîm Plismona Bro i Ysgol Dewi Sant am ymweliad safle gyda Rhys o’r adran Diogelwch y Ffyrdd. Trafodwyd y mater yn ymwneud â’r groesfan sebra, sef cerbydau nad ydynt yn stopio wrth y groesfan. Nodwyd fod y groesfan yn eithaf agos i’r gylchfan fach gan achosi cerbydau i stopio ar y groesfan ei hun. Nid yw cerbydau’n gyfarwydd â’r groesfan eto gan ei bod hi dal yn eithaf newydd yn y lleoliad hwnnw.
15/3/12 – Bu’r Tîm Plismona Bro yn bresennol yng nghyfarfod Cymdeithas Rhieni ac Athrawon Ysgol Dewi Sant. Trafodwyd materion gyda’r AS lleol Nia Griffiths, Pennaeth Ysgol Dewi Sant Gethin Thomas, a nifer o rieni – pwyntiau gweithredu o’r cyfarfod, ymweliad safle arall i’w gadarnhau gyda’r Adran Priffyrdd.
14 warning letters have been issued to vehicles this month in relation to parking on the zig-zags and doing 3-point turns outside of the School gates. This is particularly dangerous because this is happening when the children are potentially crossing the road.
5/3/12 - NPT attended Dewi Sant School for a sight visit with Rhys from road safety , discussed zebra crossing issue , vehicles not stopping at crossing , identified that zebra crossing quite close to mini roundabout causing vehicles to have to stop on crossing itself , vehicles not familiar with crossing yet as still quite new at location .
15/3/12 – NPT attended PTA meeting at DEWI SANT SCHOOL, discussed issues with local MP Nia GRIFFITHS, Dewi Sant head teacher GETHIN THOMAS and several parents - actions from meeting, another sight visit to be confirmed with Highways.
Sight visit arranged at school 05/03/12 along with Rhys Road Safety Dept .CCC. Priority re-introduced due to concerns with zebra crossing.

Sergeant Justin Evans 1024
Sergeant Justin Evans joined the police in December 2000, most of his service being conducted as a Roads Policing Officer based in Llanelli. He became the Sergeant of the Llanelli Neighbourhood Policing Team in January 2009. He was brought up and educated in Burry Port, and therefore has a good knowledge of Llanelli and what is expected, as he has seen many changes growing up in the area. He hopes that his local ties and knowledge go a long way to creating a safer community. He says, “I am thoroughly enjoying the role, interacting with the community and numerous partnerships that we closely work with”.
PC Michelle Fuge 1092
PC Michelle Fuge joined the force in 2002. She started in Llanelli station, moving to Felinfoel in 2004 before going back to Llanelli and then taking maternity leave. She returned to work in Llwynhendy in 2006 before joining the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Bigyn. After the birth of her second child she returned to work in 2008, and began working in Elli/Lliedi ward as a Neighbourhood Policing Team Officer alongside PCSO Augustus.
PCSO Rhian James 8066
PCSO Rhian James started as a PCSO in Pembrokeshire in 2007, where she learnt many skills and enjoyed assisting colleagues from the wider policing family and getting involved as part of a team. She is hoping to develop her career in Llanelli, and is looking forward to working on initiatives and operations to target the problems that affect people’s quality of life. She has enjoyed working with many Community groups and hopes to make use of this experience in Llanelli. She says, “I have I have grown to realise the importance of visible presence of the police and also giving confidence to the community as a whole.”
PCSO Ffion Thomas 8056
PCSO Ffion Thomas became a PCSO in January 2007 and is stationed in Llanelli police station. She previously worked as a clerical assistant in the Corporate Services department in the main headquarters.
