Anti Social Behavior in Parks

    Continued patrols have been made in the known areas. One call has been received regarding youths drinking in Sandy Water Park on the 21/04/2012, officers attended but youths in possession of alcohol were over the age of 18.  Patrols and use of the mobile Police station will be continued to target the known hot spots. Evidence of drug dealing/taking has been identified and intelligence logs have been submitted.

    19.04.2012 High visibility and regular patrols have been conducted in the known areas and will be continued concentrating on weekends & evenings, speaking with residents also to establish if they have seen or heard anyone within the Sandy Water Park area. With half term approaching which always increases the amount of youths using the parks, thorough patrols will be made with stop checks, confiscation and ASB referrals being made where appropriate, and Utilizing A16 and cycle patrols maximizing a Police presence. No calls have been received regarding ASB in the Hengoed patch.

Sergeant Justin Evans 1024

  • Sergeant Justin Evans

    Sergeant Justin Evans joined the police in December 2000, most of his service being conducted as a Roads Policing Officer based in Llanelli. He became the Sergeant of the Llanelli Neighbourhood Policing Team in January 2009. He was brought up and educated in Burry Port, and therefore has a good knowledge of Llanelli and what is expected, as he has seen many changes growing up in the area. He hopes that his local ties and knowledge go a long way to creating a safer community. He says, “I am thoroughly enjoying the role, interacting with the community and numerous partnerships that we closely work with”.

PCSO Dan Brown 8017

  • PCSO Dan Brown joined Dyfed Powys Police in April 2006, where he started in the Force Communication Centre at Police Headquarters as a call handler - taking 999 emergency calls and 101 non-emergency calls. He also joined as a Special Constable in October 2006 serving in Ammanford police station. Dan took up the post of PCSO in October 2008 covering the Llandysul area of Ceredigion. He transferred in October 2009 to Llanelli where he now covers the Hengoed ward which includes the areas of Sandy, Furnace and Pwll.
