Past Priorities

Mon, September 01, 2014

  • In September Dyfed Powys Police are recruiting officers and community support officers and are asking residents do you have what it takes to help us safeguard our communities?

We are looking for new recruits to work in North Powys, North Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire and we want them to live within a 30 mile radius of the station. This is important because we want to increase the number of officers in those particular communities.

The application process will open on September 11th and close a week later. You can find our more information, and take part in an eligibility questionnaire at http://dyfed-powys.police.uk/en/join-the-police

You can find out more about the process at one of the familiarisation events that are taking place on September 8th, 9th and 10th. For the location and times of the events please visit http://dyfed-powys.police.uk/en/join-the-police/police-officers

Inspector Mike Melly

  • Insp Melly

I have been a Police Officer for over 20 years, working in all the towns in Carmarthenshire at one point or another. I was promoted to Police Inspector about a year ago and have been promoted to Ceredigion . I enjoy this role and what a great area to serve. The challenges of Ceredigion are similar to other divisions and will be tackled professionally with dedication. I will work hard with my team of excellent officers to deal with local issues in line with the Force Strategy.

Sergeant Delme Rees 515

  • The Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for the mid-section of Ceredigion is PS 515 Delme Rees. Having previously performed the same role in the Aberystwyth area, he is now looking forward to tackling the issues in his local community by being accessible and fully supporting his officers to deliver on identified community priorities.

PCSO Sian Davies 8115

  • PCSO Sian Davies joined Dyfed Powys Police in June 2010 as a Special Constable based in Carmarthen. In September 2012 she joined the South Ceredigion Neighbourhood Policing Team and became the Police Community Support Officer for the Llandysul area.
