The manner of driving of road users - from excess speed through to off road use.

    We are currently gathering information on identified locations of concern to establish the appropriate measures to implement.

    Over the coming months we will be identifying sites where “Flashing Speed Information Devices” can be used, within 40mph limits in the area.

  • Crime Trends:

    Scrap metal collectors / thefts

    There has been an increase in
    the number of premises targeted for the scrap value of metal around the area.  The premises can be rural business,
    farm, dwelling or commercial enterprises, and the local quarry being an
    example.  All residents are
    reminded to report all suspicious activity & concerns to the local police
    on the non emergency telephone number (101)

    Fuel Thefts

    A large increase has been noted
    in the theft of domestic heating oil & diesel.  Anyone with concerns or advice can either speak to their
    fuel supplier or contact local police, again
    on 101
    .

    New Surgeries

    Officers are in the process of
    setting up regular surgeries at the live stock markets through the county,
    namely in Builth Wells, Rhayader and Knighton, details will be made available
    once this is done.

Inspector Stuart Eckley 2002

  • Stuart Eckley

    Inspector Stuart Eckley was promoted to Llandrindod Wells as inspector in August 2007. He joined Dyfed-Powys Police in December 1989 and has worked in Brecon and Hay-on-Wye. He is a farmer’s son, born and bred near Brecon and currently living near Builth Wells. He enjoys having the chance to walk and talk in the community. Outside work his hobbies include golf, judo, painting and drawing, and gardening.

PC Ailsa Lawton 971

  • PC Ailsa Lawton has worked in the Llandrindod Wells section since 2000, and before that spent two years in Brecon. In the past she was a rural officer and worked at Builth Wells and Knighton stations. She has spent time on the roads policing unit and continues to be interested in collision investigation and road safety matters.

Surgeries

  • A regular surgery will be held the WI Market at the rear of The White Horse, Builth Wells, from the 25th February 2011 between 10 & 11am & every following 5 weeks.

    Friday 25 May, 11:00am - 12:00pm
  • Surgeries are also being held in Llandrindod Wells Supermarkets (Tesco, Aldi & Coop) where all residents are invited to raise any issues or concerns.
