Nuisance behaviour in the charity shops

03/03/11 - All charity shops have been visited by a member of the town centre team and a Community Safety officer. Staff have been given advice on issues such as lone working, cashing up and placing items in bins. Feedback from staff is that they found the input very useful and it has gone someway to allaying their fears.
12/05/11 - This had been due to be
closed. However, due to concerns raised by staff, it was decided to keep this
running for another month. There have been several more thefts reported at
various charity shops and therefore officers have once again stepped up their
visits, reassured staff and offered crime prevention advice.
