High visibility patrols and stop checks with regard to rural crime

15/06/11 - Inline with our priority of high visibility patrols and stop checks, a male from the Oswestry area was arrested in connection with metal thefts in the Llanfyllin policing area, the stolen items included manhole covers, the items have been recovered, the male has been charged to court.
16/02/2012
- A positive drugs warrant was executed in the Dolanog area, the street value of the Class B drug is estimated to be in the excess of £100,000 and the set up alone already cost £20,000. One person was arrested and is currently on bail.
- Our targeting team have been patrolling the rural locations – 2 persons have received cannabis warnings 1 has been charged and 1 received a penalty notice disorder.
- There have been 3 calls relating to anti-social behaviour (nuisance) in the Llanfyllin area.
12/03/2012 - Following a positive warrant executed in December 2010, a male from the Llanfyllin area has been sentenced to 21 months imprisonment and a confiscation order of £1425.00 cash for possession of heroin with intent to supply.
Patrols have been conducted in hot spot areas in order to prevent any anti-social behaviour.
We have only received 3 calls relating to anti-social behaviour (nuisance) in the past month.
