Volunteers
Our Volunteer roles are designed to enhance the work of the police and provide additional support to local communities. Volunteers assist police officers and staff, which then enable them to concentrate on core policing duties, which means more officers on the streets and improved community support. Maintaining a high police presence in our communities will help the Force to achieve its aim to reduce crime, disorder and fear.
Volunteering opportunities vary from one station to another according to identified needs within the police service and local community. We are looking for people who would like to get involved in a range of activities including:
- Helping on the front desk in police stations
- Recording and storing lost and found property
- Participating in community safety and crime reduction initiatives
- Assisting with CCTV monitoring
- and many more!
