Dyfed Powys Police’s in house experts have developed an innovative system that is saving hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The system will allow us to focus on your community priorities and intelligence.
We’ve harnessed and developed upon the latest technology to better protect and serve you, our public.
Dyfed Powys Police has been selected for the shortlist of an award of ‘Innovation Nation’, an initiative between The Guardian and Virgin Media Business to uncover the UK’s most innovative organisations and people. The award is for ‘Innovation in frontline services’.
The winners will be determined by public votes - so we now need your help to become a winner! To vote for us please click on the following link http://bit.ly/JBzjww
Dyfed Powys Police has created three systems completely in-house that enables our officers to work in a more efficient and informed way. The first system involves information and intelligence facilitating the seamless, high-speed transfer of information to a briefing and tasking system. The briefing and tasking system automatically assimilates significant data from various locations, allowing supervisors to brief and task all resources according to latest or best intelligence, maximising our visibility and impact within our communities.
It is recognition that we are an organisation that is using technology to go above and beyond the norm, regardless of the financial challenges we face. The award organisers have said that the quality and quantity of entries was extremely high, therefore being selected for the shortlist is a huge achievement.
Every vote counts so please ask your friends and associates to vote too! The link to vote will also be on our Facebook page and our Twitter feed so please forward as widely as possible.
