In order to ensure that Dyfed-Powys Police are able to provide an effective and permanent solution to anti social problems, we work very closely with other partner agencies, such as the local authority, Environment Agency, Youth Offending Service, housing associations and Fire and Rescue Service. By approaching anti social behaviour in this way, we are able to apply a proactive approach that aims at not only putting an end to the behaviour, but also providing a solution to any contributing factors that may in fact be causing the behaviour in the first place.

Working in partnership is very important, and also includes input from the public. Once Dyfed Powys receives a complaint from the public, we ensure that the situation is closely monitored and that, if need be, the case is referred to the dedicated anti-social behaviour coordinator at the local authority, and that all other relevant agencies are also involved.

For the majority of anti-social incidents, Dyfed Powys Police will be involved at some stage or another, but we may not be the lead agency. The police are usually the first point of contact for the majority of complaints.

There are various enforcement tools and measures available to both Dyfed-Powys Police and the partner agencies. See what powers the police have to deal with Anti-social behaviour.
