Police investigate suspected arson at Llwynhendy Community Centre

Police are investigating after a fire was reported in the rear doorway of Llwynhendy Community Centre in the early hours of Sunday 1st May 2011.

The alarm was raised around 4am, and on arrival officers found a fire at the bottom of an external door, possibly started by using paper.

“If anyone has information which could help us track down those responsible for this I would ask them to contact us at Llwynhendy Police Station on 101,” said PCSO Tom Edwards. “This is a well-used centre, and this fire has already disrupted this morning’s nursery which had to be cancelled. It’s so disappointing that someone has done this, and an act like this really has a knock-on effect within the community.”
