Behave during the holiday season!

Festive revellers who misbehave in pubs and clubs across Aberystwyth are being given a severe warning — behave or be banned (BoBB).

Dyfed-Powys Police and the local Community Safety Partnership have joined forces to help ensure the streets are safe for people who want to enjoy the festive spirit, and that alcohol-fuelled violence will not be tolerated.

The BoBB scheme allows licensees to work with partners such as the police, to ensure that the minority of troublemakers are not allowed into premises.

People who are caught causing trouble in one establishment face being banned from more venues across the county for up to two years.

Inspector Rose Ann Lloyd said: "The message is simple — behave or be banned. We will be working closely with our partners over the Christmas period to help prevent incidents and react swiftly to violence.

“Violence and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and arrests will be made where appropriate to ensure that the majority of people who are responsible can enjoy themselves in safety.”
