Keeping Pembrokeshire safer as ‘prolific’ offender gets CRASBO
Police in Pembrokeshire are ensuring that our county remains one of the safest places in England and Wales following the issue of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order on Conviction (CRASBO) to a repeat offender of anti social behaviour.
Wayne Anthony Young, 48, of Fishguard was handed the CRASBO at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court, following an application by Fishguard Neighbourhood Policing Team and supported by the Safer Pembrokeshire partner agencies.
Young was given the CRASBO for Alcohol-related Public Order offences, which was having a disproportionate and significant impact upon the Fishguard and Goodwick community as well as putting a strain upon the front line policing.
The order has been placed on the offender until 06/04/2013. The conditions that he must comply with are not to:
Not to purchase alcohol in, on or off licensed premises in the county of Pembrokeshire
Not to consume alcohol or intoxicants in a public place in the county of Pembrokeshire
Not to be drunk in a public place in the county of Pembrokeshire
Not to enter Seafront Garage or the Tesco Express store, Parrog, Goodwick, Pembrokeshire.
Margaret Brooks, ASB Reduction Coordinator from Safer Pembrokeshire, said: “This conviction sends out a clear message to people who intend to commit crime in our County as Anti-Social Behaviour will not be tolerated in any part of Pembrokeshire.
“This court decision will ensure that if Mr Young does not change his behaviour and breaches the order, he can be arrested and that this is being done in order to protect the public and improve the quality of lives of the members of the local community. The court decision also demonstrates our commitment to ensure the safety of residents and that justice is served. The CRASBO is the culmination of a successful effort of the public coming forward to report anti-social behaviour, listening to the community concerns and effectively using the legislative powers available to reduce anti-social behaviour.”
