Suspicious incident: Driver of black vehicle targeting school children

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses regarding incidents involving a small black vehicle possibly a Renault Clio in the Aberystwyth area.

The occupants of the vehicle have approached separate young female schoolchildren from two comprehensive schools and suggested that they accept a lift – this gave the females enough concern to leave the scene immediately.

Inspector Rose Ann Lloyd said: “We are currently speaking to a number of female schoolchildren who have come forward regarding similar incidents. Once we have completed this complex de-brief we will release further details.

“Dyfed-Powys Police would like to reassure the community that they are utilising a number of traditional and innovative techniques to identify this vehicle and its occupants, and are appealing for them to come forward.”
