Suspicious package reported at Powys County Council offices

Inquiries are underway after a suspicious package was reported at Powys County Council’s offices in Llandrindod Wells.

Police received the call at 11.25 this morning.

The decision to evacuate the building as a precaution was taken a short while later.

“The package is now in the process of being recovered safely and inquiries will soon get underway to determine where this package came from, who sent it and why,” said Chief Inspector Robyn Mason. “Noone sustained any injuries as a result of this incident. And we are now working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
