Fuel stolen from tank in St Clears
Around 200 litres of heating fuel worth £140 has been stolen from an external storage tank on a farm in St Clears.
The theft happened some time between 2pm on Friday 13th January and 2pm on Tuesday 17th January on a farm located just outside the village near the Forge petrol filling station.
“We’re looking for information on this theft and if anyone saw anything suspicious in this area around the specified dates I’d ask them to please get in touch,” said PC Martin Skinner. “Also I’d like to remind people to try and take steps to protect their fuel supplies.
“Think about hiding the tanks either with a solid construction or possibly some wooden fencing. And if you can’t afford to do this, look at improving the lighting in the area and maybe fit security lighting.
“Above all be aware of any suspicious vehicles in your area and don’t forget to report any suspicious activity to the police. We can be contacted at Carmarthen Police Station on 101.”
