Road Traffic Collision Trecynnon Powys 19.01.12

Mid Wales Roads Policing Unit are investigating a serious road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 7.15pm on Thursday 19th January 2012 on the B4389 Newtown to Tregynon road at the crossroads with the road from Bwlch-y-Ffridd to Bettws Cedewain. 

The collision involved a black Vauxhall Astra and a blue coloured Peugeot 306.  One driver was trapped in their vehicle for a period of time and has received serious injuries.  A passenger from the other vehicle has fairly serious injuries.  Four casualties in total have been taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.  The conditions of the two main casualties are presently described as stable.
