Appointment of new Assistant Chief Constable
Dyfed-Powys Police Authority and Force are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Carl Langley as their new Assistant Chief Constable.
Mr Langley will replace Mr Nick Ingram, who is retiring in May 2012.
Mr Langley began his career in Devon and Cornwall Police before moving to Lincolnshire Police in 2008, where, since January 2011 he has been a Temporary Assistant Chief Constable, responsible for the Crime and Operations portfolio.
Mrs Delyth Humfryes, Chair of the Police Authority said, “I am thrilled that Mr Langley will shortly by joining us. He has a wealth of experience and will be an asset to the Chief Officer team.”
Mr Langley, who in his spare time is a keen historian, and keep fit enthusiast said “I am absolutely delighted to have been appointed to Dyfed-Powys Police as the new ACC. During my preparation for the recruitment process, I was extremely impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the staff that I met, and I am excited to have the opportunity to be part of a successful team delivering excellent policing to the communities of Dyfed Powys. I look forward to working with the Police Authority in ensuring the on-going success of Dyfed Powys Police.”
Mr Ian Arundale, Chief Constable, commented, “I am extremely pleased to welcome Carl to the Chief Officer team. He is an experienced and competent officer who will make a significant positive contribution to policing within Dyfed-Powys.”
