Assault on teenager investigated in Newtown

An assault on a teenager is being investigated by police.

The 17 year old victim was walking along the town’s Broad Street when he was assaulted and punched several times to the face.

“The victim sustained a broken jaw and lost two teeth as a result of the attack,” said PC Annelise Blackler. “This happened about 5pm on Friday 10th February.

“If anyone witnessed the attack or saw anything that could help our inquiries I’d ask them to please contact me at Newtown Police Station on 101.”
