Powys NPT box clever with funding

Thanks to some sterling partnership work between Brecon NPT (special mention to PC 828 Sara Meredith) and Wales and West Housing Association (WWHA) , Brecon Amateur Boxing Club recently received a cheque for £495 to purchase new equipment.
WWHA were keen to assist in the clubs finances as it caters for numerous youngsters who live in the Brecon estates.  This showed that they are able to dish out some “carrot” as well as the “stick” after the high profile eviction of a “Neighbour from Hell” in Brecon last year.
Alison Chaplin representing WWHA handed over the cheque to Dave Gilbert from Brecon CID who is one of the coaches at the club. Also pictured is PCSO Bryony Hope and some of the many youngsters who train 3 times a week.
With several of the youths competing in National Championships this year such funding is most welcome and appreciated.
