Three more sentenced thanks to undercover drugs operation

Three more people who pleaded guilty to supplying Class A drugs following an undercover police operation have been sentenced, two receiving prison terms and one a community order.
• 39 year old Robert John pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and possessing heroin. He was sent to prison for 34 months.
• 33 year old Scott Hilde pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and possessing cannabis. He was sentenced to 22 months in prison.
• Lisa Fisher aged 34 was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of heroin and pleaded guilty to possessing heroin. She was given a community order and drug rehabilitation referral.
A further man, 45 year old Flyte Corin Lorn Mainwaring pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin. His sentencing has been adjourned pending court reports.
The operation used local officers, together with officers from the Serious and Organised Crime Team, to target those responsible for dealing heroin in Carmarthen town. Officers have welcomed these new results.

“These arrests were a direct result of the work which happened during the original undercover operation during the late summer of 2010,” said Detective Chief Inspector Greg Williams. “This crime group was well organised and we have managed to dismantle it and destroy its network.  I’m very happy with today’s result.”

Tackling the harm caused by Class A drugs remains a priority for police in Carmarthenshire.
