Men sent to prison for 14 months for handling stolen goods following burglary at a home in Forden.
A 42 year old man has been sentenced to 14 months imprisonment for handling stolen goods.
Andrew Roy Thorley appeared before Mold Crown Court on Friday 22nd June 2012 for sentencing. The previous week (Friday 15th June) he has denied burglary and pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of handling stolen goods.
An additional 10 months was activated in relation to a previous sentence that had not been fully served.
Detective Inspector Diane Davies said, “The charges relate to a house burglary in Forden in March. A nice young couple had their home broken into and the consequences to them have been significant. As the court heard, Mr Thorley has an unenviable criminal record, he has been given many opportunities and a lot of support to allow him to change his ways. He has shown himself to be a devious and cunning career criminal with no regard for his victims or others whose lives he has adversely affected. I am very pleased with this custodial sentence.”
