Newtown Shop Watch Scheme scores another success
Fri 09 Nov 2012
A 30 year old man has been charged with two counts of burglary following incidents at Morrisons and Cooperative stores in Newtown
The arrest was made thanks to the town’s Shop watch scheme, a radio link that allows stores and officers to share information quickly about incidents and suspects.
The first burglary took place at 4.45pm on Wednesday 7th November and the second at 7.30pm that same night at Morrisons store
Messages were relayed between officers and businesses about the burglaries and the suspect was soon arrested.
This morning he appeared before Llandrindod Magistrates Court.
