What We Have Done

Updated: 08/07/10
  • Anti-social behaviour in the area of North Court in the small play area, from 6-10pm in the evenings particularly on weekends. Youths being loud and causing a nuisance to residents
Ongoing high-visibility patrols, speaking with young people and moving them on, working in partnership with ‘The Hive’ youth centre to provide a provision for them.
  • Inconsiderate driving in the centre of town, not adhering to the signage and one way systems - particularly in the area of Dark Street, Barn Street and City Road e.g. traffic turning right from Dark Street into Castle Lake car park, instead of going onto Barn Street and around
Drivers stopped and advised on one way system, continued educational campaign, council are aware and happy with current signage.
