Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership

Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership is a multi-agency approach to tackling issues affecting the communities.

The partnership consists of a number of organisations including Dyfed Powys Police, Pembrokeshire County Council, the Local Health Board and the Youth Offending Team.

Its priorities are to reduce crime and the fear of crime, tackle substance misuse and anti-social behaviour. It work closely with the Neighbourhood Policing Teams and has paid for some of the equipment they have needed.

The two anti-social behaviour co-ordinators in the county are also funded by the partnership and assist the Neighbourhood Policing Teams to deal with issues effecting the communities.

Sally Thompson, Community Safety Officer, said:

"Through the partnership we help all the agencies work together to the greatest benefit of the communities.

“The Neighbourhood Policing Teams form an important part of this as they are our eyes and ears on the ground and are out talking to people to finding out what effects them, we then help them find the best way to solve those issues.”
