Would You Like to Become a Volunteer Puppy Walker?

Mallinois PuppyPuppy walking is an essential element in the development of future police dogs.

Volunteer puppy walkers take a puppy into their homes for between 10 – 14 months. Dyfed-Powys Police provides all the food and meet all veterinary bills. Puppy walkers give their puppy a firm foundation for its later training this means that the puppy is fully socialised and will be expected to be exposed to numerous environments in order to ensure a well developed and sociable puppy.

This is a new concept for the force and an initial programme is being run within the Carmarthenshire area preferably Ammanford, Llanelli or Carmarthen. (This is in order to allow the scheme manager to access the puppy walker with relative ease)
