45-year-old Brian Richard Buckle, of Fishguard, was yesterday sentenced to 33 years in prison for non-recent sexual offences against a victim aged between 8 and 10 years old.
He appeared at Swansea Crown Court where he was sentenced to serve a combined sentence of 33 years - 15 years for the lead offence, with the remaining sentence to be served concurrently.
Detective Inspector Richard Yelland said: “This is the second case for the Force, in recent weeks, where a significant custodial sentence has been passed down to a perpetrator of non-recent sexual offending. This substantial sentence recognises the control and long-lasting harm caused to his victim.
“We continue to work with our partners to make sure the best level of support is given to survivors, for the future.”
The Judge also granted an indefinite restraining order preventing Buckle from containing the victim.
