“Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred at approximately 3.10pm on November 9th on the A470 between Builth Wells and Llyswen.


Fire, ambulance and council also attended the scene.


An unmarked police car and a Fiat Ducato van were involved in the collision.


An on-duty police officer was seriously injured and was airlifted to hospital. The driver of the van was taken to hospital by ambulance.


The road was closed at 3.45pm and reopened just after 10pm.
