10/01/14-Nine drug crimes reported throughout the month. Patrols have been conducted around the ward to include hotspot areas. Intelligence has been submitted with a view to obtaining warrants for the near future.

03/02/14-There have been no warrants or operations conducted in the ward this January. There were eleven Drugs calls for drugs with seven of the calls resulting in positive action.

28/02/14-During the last month Tyisha NPT has been involved in organising and taking part in a drugs intervention at the train station which included the new passive dog. The intervention was a good opportunity to utilise the new tool that Dyfed Powys has and to tackle drugs issues in the area. Also we have been working closely with the projects on the patch to try and provide advice and support in relation to drug use. Again using the passive dog and the local NPT a talk was organised at a project, it was a successful partnership agency meeting and the residents went away with confidence and further awareness in relation to drugs.

01/04/14-During the last month, there have been nine drug crimes, five of which have resulted in a positive outcome. On the 20th of March after numerous intelligence logs being submitted, a drugs warrant was conducted. Results were negative but drugs paraphernalia was located and further intelligence has been submitted.

02/05/14-There have been fifteen drug offences for the month, nine of which came with a positive result. There have been no drugs warrants conducted on the patch this month. We continue to complete intelligence reports in the view to gaining warrants.

04/06/14-There have been seven drug offences detected this month with four persons being dealt with for possession of cannabis and three for other drug classifications. This is a result of proactive stop checks and search warrants.

June 2014-There have been eleven drug offences for the ward. Seven of these were for possession of cannabis due to proactive stop searches. The rest were in relation to other drugs. There was a positive warrant conducted whereby a cannabis factory was identified with over 300 plants and 1kg of cannabis. Another cannabis factory was discovered by officers on foot patrol.-

03/08/14-There have been nine drug offences on the ward this month. These mostly relate to positive stop searches where the alleged offender was found in possession of cannabis or a controlled drug.Also a positive drugs warrant has been conducted at Ty Cydwell.

August 15-There have been 8 drugs crimes on Tyisha ward this month. 4 drug crimes have been completed and the other four have been returned to the officer to complete.

Action

Tackling ASB often caused by drug misuse and related nuisance. This impacts on the quality of life of residents and vulnerable people across Tyisha.

Regular patrols have been conducted in the problem area to reassure members of the public.

Local NPT officers have worked alongside the response team to collate information to develop and action Drug Warrants.

Regular meetings have been held between local contacts through our monthly SCAG meetings and our monthly beat surgeries.

Regular patrols have been conducted in the local area and any individuals drinking alcohol in the area have had their alcohol seized and details obtained.
