11 May 2017

Regular patrols and Read your speed initiatives are continuing in the Fishguard and Goodwick area to deal with reports of Anti- Social Driving- Speeding and noisy exhausts.  Fishguard Neighbourhood Policing Team are liaising with Road Policing Unit who are patrolling the area regularly and have issued Fixed Penalty Notices to offending vehicles.

Regular patrols and Read your speed initiatives are continuing in the Fishguard and Goodwick area to reduce this issue. Further joint patrols with Road Policing Unit and Neighbourhood Policing Team are planned in the next few weeks.

04 February 2017

Joint patrols were carried out with the Pembrokeshire County Council Dog Warden in January 2017 to educate dog owners to be responsible following concerns from members of the public.

Regular patrols and 'Read Your Speed' initiatives have been carried out in the Fishguard and Goodwick area following reports of anti-social driving, cars speeding and having noisy exhausts.  The Roads Policing Unit are also patrolling area, and joint patrols with the Neighbourhood Policing Team are planned in the next few weeks.

2 high impact operations have taken place in the area by officers from Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit during November, and we have carried out numerous 'Read Your Speed' operations in the Wern Road area of Goodwick and High Street, Fishguard.

‘Read Your Speed’ operations were carried out over 10 times in September and both Roads Policing and Neighbourhood Policing officers were part of 2 high impact operations targeting antisocial drivers. This led to numerous drivers being dealt with for traffic offences.

Action

Fishguard Neighbourhood Policing Team are looking for volunteers to work collaboratively with them to prevent and reduce instances of speeding by implementing a Community Speed Watch.

Training of volunteers from members of the public will be provided.  Sergeant Terri Harrison of Haverfordwest NPT said "this is a great opportunity to get to know your local Neighbourhood officers whilst also putting something back into the community."  Other areas within the rural community will also be considered for the Scheme.  Anyone who would like to know more are asked to contact the Fishguard Neighbourhood Policing Team and ask for PCSO 8189 Carwyn Phillips or PCSO 8035 Eirian Thomas by ringing 101 or emailing: fishguardNPT@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk
