Response:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:
1) Yes - Dyfed Powys police have a Central Prevention hub which leads on prevention and problem solving with a dedicated problem solving lead in that team.
1a) The team support across the force for a range of problems, internal and external.
1b) There are currently 32 open problem solving plans in force, this does not include the other areas where the OSARA methodology is utilised in everyday business.
1c) Not applicable – which is based on the response provided in relation to 1a and 1b above.
2) Dyfed Powys police uses the OSARA model
3&3a) Dyfed Powys police do use the ‘nudge theory’ e.g. in burglary prevention.
