What is the applicable timescale from when the information is received from the member of the public to logging it as intelligence, if it meets the criteria? Police Forces specify this within their policies/procedures concerning the management and handling of intelligence.

Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 places two duties on public authorities. Unless exemptions apply, the first duty at Section 1(1)(a) is to confirm or deny whether the information specified in a request is held. The second duty at Section 1(1)(b) is to disclose information that has been confirmed as being held.
I can confirm that the following information is held:
Response
The time will vary and depend on several factors, typically including: Threat Risk & Harm, demand, and how the information is received. If the public send information to the Force Communications Centre(FCC) and it is deemed suitable for a Scheduled response the information will be sent to the Crime & Incident Hub(CIH) department on the same day. The information is reviewed and prioritised based on a risk assessment. Based on the priority information may be actioned the same day or up to a week. At times of peak demand this may be longer. Some information may not be considered intelligence and an intel log may not be submitted.
