1. Has Dyfed-Powys Police used or does it plan to use Live Facial Recognition technology?
2. If yes, please provide details of all LFR deployments, including numbers of faces scanned, arrests and individuals on watchlists.

 

Response 1:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does not hold the information requested, as Dyfed-Powys Police does not use LFR and does not have any current plans to.

Please note that the definition of Live Facial Recognition for Police Force usage is ‘the use of overt live facial recognition to locate people on a watch list who are sought by the police’.
