We understand that gender may be recorded on your systems as Male, Female or Unknown/Other, and that level of information is fine.

- Please accept my apologies for omitting the time period, this request is to cover the period from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024. The number of crimes recorded as 'Domestic Abuse' broken down by

I can confirm that there is information held by Dyfed-Powys Police which is outlined below.
Question 1:
Total Crime: 6,793
Male Victims: 2,015
Female Victims: 4,533
Unknown/Not reported: 245.
Question 2:
Total Incidents: 4,353
Male Victims: 1,166
Female Victims: 3,083
Unknown/Not reported: 104.
It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
Furthermore, it should also be noted that Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force's response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
