Could you provide information on how the IOPC recommendations are being implemented in your local police force, specifically relating to the collection and monitoring of data for child strip searches?
Response:-
Custody audit 100% of child strip searches within the monthly performance meeting.
Any strip search of a child is scrutinised thoroughly including rationale around the decision making by the Custody Inspector.
This is further scrutinised by senior management during the monthly meeting.
Incidents of child strip search are minimal.
