what is meant by data literacy programs please?
what is meant by “data” in relation to Data Leadership, your question 2
Clarification A
By "Data Literacy Programs", I mean formal and/or informal training around the topic of data (what data is, how data is used, what data is used for, why data is important and so on)

The Force also has Business Objects linked to the HR system and used for reporting from HR.
In respect of Cloud – the Force has a Cloud first approach and is a journey that has started.

We share with other Forces in line with the College of Policing APP on Information Management available Information sharing | College of Policing See the section under ‘Local Information Sharing Agreements’.
We share with partner agencies in line with the Wales Accord on Sharing Personal Information (WASPI) see WASPI Home - Welsh Accord on Sharing of Personal Information (gov.wales) See the section ‘Register of ISP’s which provides links to Information Sharing Protocols’.
The integration protocol largely depends on what the application supports. We do not have a standardised integration hub that could be used to orchestrate for each type of protocol.
The main Force operational system NICHE RMS - by its very nature is integrated – as all of the data resides in a single platform which includes the majority of operational business area capabilities – such as Custody, Crime, Intelligence etc… and this is growing and is part of the Force vision.
Where there are other systems and a strong business requirement for them to be integrated, the Force will look to see what interfaces exist with suppliers and look to implement these interfaces. This has already been done in many contexts already.
The Force has also invested in RPA and this provides another method that can be used for data integration. We also have access to MS PowerAutomate as another potential tool.
Response 8:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.
No Data Ethics Board, however, we do have the Digital Ideas Assessment Group (DIAG) which uses a stage gate approach to assessing submissions made by staff and officers regarding potential digital solutions that could improve manual processes or improved method of data capture which could include digital automation and workflows etc… The DIAG group is made up of key stakeholders who attend the DIAG stage gate meetings – one being the force Data Protection Advisor and also the force Information Manager – they are there to make sure for each idea the appropriate considerations are made – such as is a DPIA required, or Data Processing Agreement required etc.
Please note that if the Force were to introduce technology such as AI or Predictive Analytics then data ethics would need to be considered as a part of the assessment of its suitability and safeguards would need to be included as a part of the implementation. It is well understood that there is a potential in such systems to introduce bias and that certain technologies will hallucinate in the results it can produce – therefore extra care and suitable controls would need to be introduced to ensure that these are properly understood and addressed and to make sure that the human element of decision making is not completely removed as these tools should be seen as assistants.

No, however the Force does have a Continuous Improvement Team, but it is not specific to Data Management Practices.
The force has a dedicated Performance team which produce performance dashboards for the force – some of these dashboards focus on data quality issues which are accessible to operational officers.
The force is part of a collaboration with 3 other forces and collectively the have dedicated data quality staff to reviewing and addressing DQ issues. They have also produced a data quality dashboard and a method of informing staff of known issues so that things will improve. They also prepare and run scripts to fix issues and also use RPA to help improve data quality issues.
Data Quality related videos are produced, and key messages are shared with staff.
