Request:
Thank you for clarifying. Is there an explanation as to why you have found more people than there are missing persons cases for the time period?
Question 1 (how many missing persons cases have been filed 2018-2023) – 13865
Question 2 (how many missing persons cases have been filed 2024 up to June 30th inclusive) - 1165
The total for both is therefore 15,030. However Question 3 which asks you to categorise the people reported missing into 'still missing' and 'found' brings you to a total of 14829.
Could you please verify that these numbers are correct and provide an explanation for the difference in numbers?
