Request:

I would like to know how many adults (18+) you issued with Child Abduction Warning Notices (CAWNs) as a result of their suspicious behaviours with a child - for the calendar years 2022. 2023, 2024 & any data you have for 2025.

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below.

2022 – 27

2023 – 27

2024 – 18

2025 – 6 (as of 07/04/2025)

Please note: For the 2022 – 2024 data we have no details of the ages of the recipients, so it’s not confirmed they are all 18+.                                               

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
