Crimes re weight loss injections 276/2025

Request:

1. Please could you confirm how many crimes have been reported to your force that mention Ozempic, Mountjaro, Semaglutide, Saxenda, weight-loss injections, weight-loss jabs or a combination of these in the ‘modus operandi’ for each of the following time frames: 

• • 1st March 2020 to 28th February 2021
  • 1st March 2021 to 28th February 2022
  • 1st March 2022 to 28th February 2023
  • 1st March 2013 to 29th February 2024
  • 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2025

2. Where possible, please also provide details of the alleged offence in each case. 

Clarification: I am referring to incidents

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, as outlined below

Response 1:

A free-text search was conducted on the police computer system which records incidents by the Force Communication Centre, to identify the incident volumes of the incidents reported that mention the names listed above:

• 1st March 2020 to 28th February 2021: 0
• 1st March 2021 to 28th February 2022: 0
• 1st March 2022 to 28th February 2023: 0
• 1st March 2013 to 29th February 2024: 0
• 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2025: 1

Response 2:

The record identified between 1^st March 2024 and 28^th February 2025 was recorded as an incident. An offence would be recorded as a crime. As per your clarification, research was conducted on the police computer systems that records incidents. No details of a crime was recorded on the incident data.                                            

It should be noted that as a result of the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such information that the information released may or may not be accurate.
