I would like to provide the following definitions to assist with your request:
- Geographic predictive policing: a strategy used by law enforcement agencies to predict where crimes are likely to occur in the future based on historical crime data and geographic patterns. It involves analysing past criminal activity, demographic factors, environmental conditions, and other relevant data to identify geographic areas that are at higher risk for future crimes. The process typically involves the use of algorithms and/or statistical models, and/or to forecast crime hotspots.
- Individual predictive policing: a strategy used by law enforcement agencies to predict the likelihood that specific individuals will be involved in criminal activity in the future. It involves analysing past criminal activity, demographic factors, and other relevant data and typically involves the use of algorithms and/or statistical models, and/or to forecast crime hotspots.
Response:
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does not hold the information requested, this is due to the fact that the Force has not used geographic or predictive policing systems.
