Prevent duty costs 652/2025

Request:

Please disclose your costs for the last two complete financial years for complying with the 'Prevent duty', that is the obligation under s26 of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 to have 'due regard to the need to prevent people being drawn into terrorism'. These costs should include a breakdown of:

1. Training costs;
2. Equipment costs; and
3. Any other costs that you encounter as part of complying with the duty.

Please also provide the dates for the two financial years from which this data comes.

Response:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does not hold the information requested, this is due to the fact that the Prevent team is a regional team and managed by South Wales Police.
