Our Anti-racism Working Group considers the recommendations set out in the Police Race Action Plan and the Criminal Justice in Wales Anti-racism Action Plan (as part of the wider Anti Racism in Wales Action Plan by Welsh Government). This working group action-plans some of the recommendations and looks to remove any barriers identified in Dyfed-Powys Police. Representatives from our Independent Advisory Group and from our Ethnic Minority Staff Support Network are invited and the working group feeds into our governance groups (Embracing Diverse Representation Meeting, and People, Culture and Ethics Board).
We have implemented a Reverse Mentoring Scheme, which we will review and refresh mid-2025. We will also be delivering mandatory training to all staff and officers from January 2025 on the topic of race-related culture awareness.
