Request
Please can you supply an up to date list of LGBT+ liaison officers, their contact details and any literature they provide as part of their duties.
Response
I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested as below:-
LGBT+ liaison officers is not a specific role – it is part of their Officers/staff/ PCSO role if they have completed the LGBT+ Liaison course.
There are currently 45 trained Officers/staff/ PCSO that have completed the LGBT+ within the Force. (These are made up of Police and Support staff).
These LGBT+ trained personnel are an internally accessible resource by any officer requiring advice whilst dealing with an investigation involving a member of the LGBT+ community, and they are able to be located using a skill record on our Duty Rota System.
LGBT+ trained personnel in Dyfed-Powys are not a community accessible resource, they are accessed following an assessment by the investigating officer, and as such any queries from the LGBT+ community should be directed to contact 101.
There is no specific LGBT+ literature held by Dyfed-Powys Police.
However, we do have hate crime booklets which are handed out with details of how to contact victim support.
